Wowser...a couple of days ago, I brought up Houdini in a conversation as a joke and then googled him to find out more about him. I had no idea that he was my compatriot (he was born in Budapest, though he lied about it claiming that he was born in Wisconsin). Then I came upon this poster, which had striking similarities to my mural at 5 pointz, Queens I painted back in the summer. Mine is about a different kind of liberation.
