We wanted to have a series with my characters brought to life by the beautiful Stevie Lee & DiscoMakeup Arie (who were responsible for the bomb make-up). Arie & I have been also talking about doing something together, since she I always thought she looked like one of my characters....so it just all came together. MAGIC ROOM 777 presents: KIVA on the Beaterator

<div style="text-align: left;">Close friend & fellow creator, <b>KIVA</b> was the last guest to come through my old studio for an informal interview this past winter. <b>KIVA</b> is a true renaissance artist, he produces and plays several instruments, DJs, teaches music production and is also an adept painter. I invited him to come trough and talk about his dope new album, <b>BTR8ION, </b>which he produced entirely on a revolutionary new device called BEATERATOR. BEATERATOR is a portable mixer software that allows people to make music on the go -subway, park, airport, you name it- by using their good-old Play Station. Somehow she found me on myspace and asked me if I'd be down to meet her and do a photoshoot while she was visiting New York City from Paris for the first time. I loved her work, so I was really happy to connect...I'm the same way, when I travel to other countries, I like to connect with locals, and meeting artists elsewhere is a huge part of the fun in travel. Here are some of the highlights of our late night walk around my old neighborhood in Brooklyn. She is most known for her work documenting street artists bombing the city of Paris at night (she is probably the youngest and perhaps the only female in the game there), but her black and white portraits are beautiful as well.
