Her vision was to capture an insightful glimpse into the lives of four unique New York City visual artists. The original concept was to document only the artists' hands, feet and mouth...so I decided to wear my mask and transform into one of my avatars, <a href="http://lichiban.blogspot.com/search/label/Aio"><b>AIO.</b></a> The camera then followed us to the big finale at 5POINTZ,Queens NY, where we joined over 15 artists to paint a huge mural on the famed graffiti museum's wall. That was when I did the "LoveShipVibration Gate" mural (you can check it<a href="http://lichiban.blogspot.com/2009/09/new-work-loveship-vibration-gate.html"> here</a>).<p></p>The Artist Process" tells the story of <a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.flickr.com/photos/daniellemastrion">Danielle Mastrion</a>, Mistah Metro, Marthalicia and myself going about our daily routine, while sharing our thoughts on performing, art, and life. I loved another artist fam, <a href="http://www.mistahmetro.com/">Mistah Metro</a>'s feature, whose been on my radar, but didn't have a chance to build with yet. I give thanks to the amazing Marthalicia who has been a beacon of light and inspiration for all of us pushing hard in New York...been a fan & supporter of her since I've known her. Her vision was able to manifest through joining forces with amazing mover-and-shaker, world-traveler, activist, performer <a href="http://www.feleciacruz.com/feleciacruz/feleciacruz.html">Cathleen Angelo aka Felecia Cruz</a> (Fighting for Futures), who was behind the camera and <a href="http://soundcloud.com/spillsbeast">Spills</a> who did the original soundtrack and edited the film. Alas, my new home is different but equally powerful entryway to the world of imagination.</div>

Bryant Park, New York City</div><div>I was booked to live paint at the LEVI'S Curve ID promo event w/my artist homies <a href="http://www.marka27.com/">Marka 27</a> &<a href="http://reuj.wordpress.com/">Ron Upperman</a> (one half of Leroy Jenkins). The live art was part of the massive giveaway LEVI'S had organized to promote their new Curve ID jeans (1000 pairs were promised to be given out for free). The event was a big success, the line was already wrapping around the Bryant Park when I got there at 9:30am. Beside free food, t-shirts and the jeans, people could pick up some art work for free as well. Well, I literally turned into a McLichiban, cranking out 40 pieces of quick stencil and brush work...as you can see, some of these pieces were a hit & miss. This was super fun though, I loved giving away the work to my beautiful sisters. <div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q202/licsi777/LEVIS-liveart-Lichiban-giveaway6.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">hehe...that was the 1 min playtime...the rest was all work, non-stop. This is why I go to see live shows...her performance was dynamite, full of fire & energy and seeing an artist being that free makes you feel free too...She can turn a crowd out with her energy, while singing about real issues most artists at her level don't really touch. Younity's co-founder, my girl <b><a href="http://www.am-files.com/">Alice Mizrahi</a></b> invited me to paint along with her this year, and I gladly said yes, since we've tried to collabo for a while. Well, although we prepared our joint piece, once we saw the separate boards, we just decided to take over one each. Mardi Gras around the corner, I was psyched to do something festive and sexy for such beautiful subjects.  Alanzo always brings out Brooklyn's best-looking people, and this special surprise was a definite crowd-pleaser.
